Douglas Democrats Announce Candidates for May 8th Election
At its caucus on March 28, 2007, the Democrats of Douglas nominated and endorsed the following slate of eleven strong candidates for election to important town offices.
Board of Selectmen (3 years): Shirley M. Mosczynski, Chair of the Board of Selectmen, is running for re-election. Pamela R. Holmes, currently Chair of the Finance Committee, is running for the term last held by David Furno.
School Committee (3 years): Margaret V. Reed, Chair of the School Committee, is running for re-election. Michael R. Belleville is running for the seat being vacated by Thomas Navaroli. Both are running unopposed.
Planning Board (5 years): David St. George and David Windoloski are both running. There are two seats open on the Planning Board.
Tax Collector (3 years): Pamela A. Carter is running for re-election and she is unopposed.
Constable (3 years): Carol E. Field and David St. George are running for re-election.
Cemetery Commission (3 years): Shirley Cooney, Commission Chair, is running for re-election.
Trustee of the Public Library (3 years): Tess Cooney is running unopposed for the open seat.
The town will hold its annual election on Tuesday, May 8th following its Annual Town Meeting on Monday, May 7th.
